My friend had a video of her wedding made and she invited us over to her house a month after her wedding to show us the funny scenes when the groom came to fetch the bride. We made the groom eat wasabi bread and wax his legs with my friend’s initials. They danced and sang as well.

Having videos is quite a standard feature in weddings, where the happy moments are put together in a video on the day itself. When projected onto the screen, all the guests would get to share in the happy occasion. My mother’s friend’s husband got the son-in-law to practise a few taiji moves before he could pass the level to get to the bride’s room.

It is great to look back many years later and see the way you were on your wedding there, and the people who were there to celebrate the happy occasion.

You can get a professional to take a video. There are many videography packages in the market. However, if cost is an issue, or you have talented relatives or friends who love to make home videos, then get them to help you. If they have young children, then you can be rest assured that they are extremely proficient at making home videos.

After the wedding, you can edit the video or get a professional to create one from the various copies. You can keep or give or share with your friends and family. Throw a party like my friend, and we will get to watch the video together. Do edit the video as you don’t want your friends to feel they have to sit through a long video of every single thing.

Lavender Series Wedding Photos Cover

Margaret River in Perth is where we went to take our wedding photos on the second day of our trip. This place is well-known for wineries and other farms. We travelled by a small coach to the place for at least 3 hours. We had packed our wedding gowns and suits in suitcases and we lugged them onto the coach.

This set of Lavender Series photos from my overseas photo shoot is taken on a farm, and unfortunately I cannot remember the exact name of the place. This place has a lake and lots of lavender flowers. It was nearly summer, so the lavender is not as lovely as I had expected. This is the main reason why I wanted to go to Perth to take my wedding photos. I love lavender.

Nevertheless, we managed to take some photos here. My photographer was great at telling us where to look and how to pose. Click here to read more »

Tony Leung and Carina Lau Wedding In Bhutan
I doubt any celebrity can top Carina Lau and Tony Leung’s wedding held in Bhutan. How do you get the royalty to lend you their traditional wedding costumes and celebrate the happy occasion together in the kingdom? It’s supposed to be one of the happiest nation in the world, after the king announced that they will only look at Gross Happiness Index instead of how much they earned per capita.

You also get a famous film-maker turn wedding planner to orchestrate the event. It is almost surreal, like some magical movie is being filmed, except this is for real.

You also get a very famous singer who has decided to retire to sing for you.

You even get another royalty’s favourite florist to take charge of the floral display, with flowers air flown in for the décor.

You also get to wear one of the most famous bridal designer’s wedding gown.

You also get a famed makeup artist to do the morning makeup, aptly themed ‘Morning Dew’ to give a soft dewy look. I saw Carina Lau without her makeup in the Chinese tabloid newspapers, and I seriously think Zing is a great makeup artist.

You even get to fly your guests into the secluded kingdom just to attend your wedding.

You also get many young monks dressed in dark rich red robes to share the joy at your wedding, with the blessings from one of a very highly ranked monk.

So tell me, which other celebrities could top this wedding of the decade?

I sincerely hope they will live happily together. After all, they have been together for 19 years.

Eight months have gone since I took my wedding photos in Perth, Australia, so I am finally taking time to put them up today. I went for so many facials and ran a lot just to look good for the overseas photo shoot. Thinking about how I have to start exercising and my beauty regimes for my local photo shoot in September, I guess I have to buck up more.

We left Singapore on a Monday. When we reached there, we simply rested and did not really explore much of Perth. It’s been almost 12 years since I last visited Perth. Thank goodness the bluebottle flies were not out in full force yet.

I woke up at 5am to get my makeup and hair done. Just before we went to take photos at different locations, the makeup artiste will touch-up my face and hair again. The weather was quite cool, so it was quite fun. I felt like an artiste or model who has flown overseas on an assignment.
Preparation In The Coach

Apart from taking photos, we had great fun having drinking games in one of the rooms almost every night. I would think up games to play and the photographers bought a lot of wine over. I’ll post the professional photographs soon.

Flowers are extremely important in a wedding. Once you have decided on your theme, find wedding flowers that will bring your theme alive. First of all, you need a bridal bouquet. Roses are popular as they are quite hardy. Tulips are lovely, but depending on the climate, they may not last that long. The length of the bouquet need not be long, and you do not need a huge handheld bouquet.

You may require corsages for your families and your bridesmaids, so these flowers should match what you are wearing as well. At the wedding hall, flower arrangements will definitely brighten up the place and set a romantic mood. You can put them by the stage and also small little arrangements on the table will definitely not be out of place.

Before the wedding, you can get them to send flowers at least one day in advance if you are able to have the venue earlier, or you might have to get the design up on the day itself. Do check with your wedding planner or the venue manager to arrange for the setting up of these.

While choosing the designs, do not limit yourself to wedding centrepieces. Sometimes, the florists may have designs for other occasions, such as birthday flowers or anniversary flowers. The creative efforts by the florists will come in great as you check out the many types of arrangements.
