One of the most difficult aspects of planning a wedding is financing it!Dreams of a big wedding can turn into a real shock as you start the planning and add up all the costs.  The money will add up quickly when you consider wedding attire, wedding jewelry, a ceremony site, reception, food, music, entertainment, photography, and more.The average cost of a wedding is currently $28,000 and in many cases much more.A few actions can end up making your wedding a lot less costly.

If you aren’t made of money, you need to look for areas where you can cut back.  You should try to avoid cutting back too much on elements that will serve as a permanent fixture in your marriage—photography and wedding jewelry. These two areas look very costly at first glance although there are a number of ways to get what you expect and still save money. In turn, there are some areas aside from wedding jewelry and photography where you can cut back.

First, you may need to admit to yourself that you don’t need to have your wedding reception at the most swanky hotel in town.Just lowering expectations a small amount you would be able to save a large amount of money without anyone knowing that you cut costs.  There are many places where you can host a wedding that would be beautiful and affordable.

You will also be able to save on the cost of transportation.  Many couples rent limousines for themselves and their parents and whole wedding party.  You don’t need this extravagance, and if you really want to rent a limo why not just rent it for the bride and groom and let it end there?  The money that you save by cutting corners elsewhere can be put toward purchasing your wedding jewelry.

Flowers and decorations is another area that you will find that you can easily cut back and save a lot of money.  If you do some of your decorations yourself, or limit flowers to the places where decorations really need to be to make the area feel more wedding like, it will be much more affordable.Churches make it easy to create a festive occassion with very little money.

As you can see, aside from photography and wedding jewelry there are some areas where you can cut back just a little bit and make financing your wedding much more doable.  Weddings are expensive, and because they are a once in a lifetime event you can accept some of this, but at the same time you don’t want to go broke as your wedding is just the beginning of your life together!Look for opportunities in places where no one would notice if you cut back and also choose items that will not always bother you,like wedding jewelry and the pictures of your wedding!
