It seems that most young brides who are learning how to plan a wedding don’t really know what they are doing. Not only are these young brides planning the most important day of their lives with little to no party planning experience, but they are also doing it with a huge amount of money. If you are facing the issues of how to plan wedding and aren’t quite sure even where to start, rest assured that most brides have been in your shoes before. Many brides are confused when they start learning how to plan wedding. When I was planning my own wedding, I was freaking out about how much work there was to do, and how many vendors that I needed to work with to make my wedding run smoothly. So when I was looking at how to plan a wedding, I started in the wrong place. Here are some of the mistakes I made and how you should really start.
Have a Game Plan – How to Plan Wedding
Most brides start planning their weddings in the same wrong place that I did, which is to immediately go and start talking to vendors and putting deposits on reception venues and other locations. Turns out, I made a common mistake among new brides when they start planning their wedding. So instead of doing what most new brides do, come up with your game plan of a wedding budget and rough guest list. Coming up with a budget and guest list may be tedious, but it’s also so important. Find out who is planning to contribute what towards your wedding, and then allot for the different things you want in your wedding. Coming up with a rough guest list is so that you can make wise decisions on just how many people could be showing up for your wedding. So, it’s pointless and a money waster if you put a deposit on a reception and ceremony venues that hold 500 if you only have 150 on the guest list. It only makes sense for you to settle down and create a game plan for your wedding planning before spending anything.
Plan Your Wedding – Without Overspending
Another thing that brides need to worry about is dealing with the right kinds of wedding vendors. There are manyvendors out there who assume that they can overcharge for their services simply because they’re working for a wedding. The fact is, some vendors know that most brides don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to planning a wedding and don’t know how much their services should cost. So do your homework.
Don’t assume that planning a wedding is an impossible task. Learn to negotiate for the best prices, and where to go to find better prices when the wedding vendors in your town won’t work with you. It’s not impossible to have your dream wedding on a small budget if you know where to look.
