Once you have set the date, ordered the floral arrangements and purchased the wedding gown, it is time to begin shopping for the best set of wedding lingerie. The undergarments that you pick for that extraordinary day could make a difference not only in how your wedding gown will fit, but in your level of comfort as well. And surely, you will want bridal lingerie that will whisk you from your day as a new bride to your evening as a newlywed in both fashion and sensuality. While it may seem like a big deal searching for a simple bra and panty combination, there are plenty of superb choices in bridal lingerie that will guarantee you find the perfect garments to meet your taste, measurements and budget.

When to Start Shopping For The Bridal Lingerie

Though a number of women may be tempted to shop at the intimate apparel shop as soon as the engagement is announced, it is usually a good idea to wait before buying wedding lingerie until after the dress has been chosen. This will guarantee that the undergarments you opt for will offer the correct coverage under your wedding dress without the concern of noticeable straps or hem lines. If you select a dress with a plunging front, then you might want a bra that augments your bust line. For smaller brides to be, this may possibly consist of either a push-up bra or a padded style. For gowns with revealing backs, you may need to ensure that your bra or corset comes with a fastener at the waistline, rather than across the mid section of the back.

Lengthy, sheath-style dresses may need a long slip beneath them to make sure there is substantial coverage that will allow the skirt to hang and flow correctly. You might also utilize your bridal undergarments to augment your natural form, by choosing intimate apparel that will offer you enhanced support and control. If your gown is too tight, you may need to use a complete body suit which will smooth the tummy and bring in the waist to give a more enhanced shape. Keep in mind that although this type of wedding lingerie can be shape enhancing, it may also be very uncomfortable, so shop with care and prepare in light of that possibility.

The Wedding Night

Seeing as this will be the apparel that you greet your new spouse in on your honeymoon, you will want the wedding lingerie to be stunning and functional. Don’t be afraid to skimp on the detailing such as adequate ribbon and lace, and pick the stylish materials like satin and silk that will feel as fine as it looks. For a more erotic look, opt for the garter and thigh high stockings instead of the traditional panty hose. You should be able to find a broad assortment of garter belts that will appeal to any taste.

The wedding lingerie ought to be an enjoyable piece to shop for, and a beautiful ensemble to have on under your gown on your most memorable day. Be patient and find only the top choices in bridal lingerie that will give you the look you desire.

We booked our honeymoon to Mauritius during the recent Natas Travel Fair. Two years back, we booked our ROM honeymoon to Japan, and it was only after that then we came to a counter where they promoted honeymoon packages to Mauritius. Honeymooners get extra perks, as long as we show our invitation cards or marriage certificate. So I thought to myself that we could try going there for our real honeymoon.

This place is surrounded by Indian Ocean, +4 GMT. It’s quite near Madagascar. I don’t have much idea about Mauritius, except that I know the people there took the GCE ‘O’Levels as well because one of my ten-years-series for English was published in Mauritius. That was many years back. My husband knows quite a lot about Mauritius because he uses the maps for Geography. He told me that there are a lot of sugarcane plantations. What I know from my friend is there are Indians and Chinese in Mauritius. They speak English, and some speak French and creole, and other Eastern languages.

Basically, it’s surrounded by lovely beaches. I like water sports, so I’m going to try snorkeling plus some undersea walking, where we will be given an oxygen mask each. Fish will try to feed from our hands. We can play beach volleyball there too. We have a free catamaran cruise. So I guess we are going there to relax, get a tan (I’m going to use lots of sunblock lotion though), have spas and massages, and exercise. I’m a little keen on para-sailing, but not sure whether I have the guts to try out. I’ve overcome my fear of walking over grates where I can see one or two stories below me. To test this out, maybe I’ll go on tree top walks.

According to the travel agent for Air Mauritius, it will be rather warm in December, and from late December onwards, it is the cyclone period. It is summer period as it is in the Southern Hemisphere. It has low humidity. It may not be the best period for us to travel, but this is the only time we can make it.

The travel agent handling the booking got her colleague to show us her photos, and she looked like she had plenty of fun. It was a little embarrassing for her to show us her personal photos of her in bikinis, but we had an idea of how the place is like. She just went there in July, so it was rather cooling.

So we have booked a five-star resort with butler service. I found a video of a couple’s honeymoon at The Residence, Mauritius. They seem to have a great time there. Lots of sand and the sea. Enjoy the video.
