As the years go by after your wedding day many of the important happy memories can fade and creating a wedding memory book is a perfect way to chronicle the entire marriage process to preserve those special memories.  Wedding memory books can be purchased readymade with individual pages for guest lists, a family tree and tons of pages for photos, but you may make your own.  Let’s have a look at what you need to consider when making your own marriage book.

Many couples start to think about their marriage book as they start preparations for the wedding, and just include it in the list of things to do ; order a wedding cake, book a Sydney wedding videographer, book hotels etc, but a great idea is to make one that includes everything before the wedding also.  You need to think about if you would like a collection of only marriage day memories or if you would like to include the bachelor and bachelorette party that is certain to have some of the best moments to incorporate, although maybe a section at the back of the book should be reserved for those photographs.

Your wedding book can contain several, chapters if you like, that will chronicle each special moment and memory from the time that you first became engaged.  The most vital thing that you need to be aware of is that once the final chapter has been written it can be changed in the future, so keep as much mementos as you can just in case you choose to edit your book in years yet to come.  When you are selecting photographs make sure that you keep at least 2 copies of each as this will permit you to be more creative and if you need to change the layout and cut some fancy shapes you will always have spare footage.

Let everyone, friends and family, know that you are going to be making a marriage memory book and you will be surprised at what number of folks are prepared to contribute to it.  Folks will keep an eye open for certain items at the bridal shower, marriage reception and other celebrations that often make up the whole wedding process, to give to you for inclusion in your wedding book.  Occasionally something as simple as the ribbons on the marriage bands can drop to the floor unnoticed, but if folks are aware that you are making a collection of all of your memories they will pick it up and give it to you later on at the reception.

Dependent on when you decide to start a documentation of your wedding will decide on the theme and design of your book.  If you plan actually early then you can co-ordinate the book to fit into your marriage theme.  Most wedding memory books only cover from the wedding day to the honeymoon, but how great would it be to get some video footage included on your wedding video of you and your other half blushing as you both go thru the pages of the bachelor party. If you ask your wedding videographer, they can even make a separate video story from the days leading up to your wedding, with your wedding book as the central theme and just add it to your wedding video package.

Beginning to add to your marriage book as early as is possible after you have decided to get married will mean that you have a wonderful story book that not only you and your better half, but also friends and family can look through when you are all together again at birthdays, Christmas or other festivities in years to come.

Planning a wedding

After the big thrill of the engagement there comes a moment when wedding planning needs to begin. And the questions start pouring down once the ring is on the finger. Before two people can unite their destinies, many things have to be taken care of. Elopement could be a solution, but not a highly recommended one if you are the adept of conventional ceremonials. Traditionally speaking, planning for a wedding can range from simple to very complicate depending on what you intend to do.

Early starters will finish sooner and enjoy a better event. Petty details usually accumulate just a few weeks before the wedding when you need to take care of everything. Plus, careful in-advance planning makes it possible to deal with service providers or vendors differently. And as it should always start: you first need to take care of the ceremony and party locations. Flexibility helps when it comes to setting a date and finding a restaurant or a hall available for that day.

Trying dresses is the big step, and you should start your search with the largest wedding gown studio in your neighborhood. There are many styles, trends, colors and solutions available, and each corresponds to different tastes. When this is clear too, move on to the next stage. These are just a few examples of how planning for a wedding should be like. Create the plan in small stages to be taken one at a time, and thus you will diminish the pressure.

Then, allow yourself the chance of not taking care of everything yourself. Accept help from friends and family members, or risk to feel miserable and stressed because of not being able to cope with everything. Get help from those people you know as reliable, and make sure that all the tasks are performed according to your wishes. Sometimes planning a wedding on your own is extremely daunting. What you can do is to create a list of wants and needs and then work out the cost of these. Write down who will be doing which duty. Is it only you, your husband, or can you involve your friends or relatives?

This will help you to prioritize which of them are essential to having the wedding of your dreams. You may need some time to get costs and compare them from various different places, including everything from the wedding venue to minor expenses such as hiring suits, buying flowers, buying the wedding cake and so on.

I actually did my own flower arrangement for my ROM. It looked good enough to me, and seriously nobody else will remember what flowers you used. I saved a lot of money. By the way, I love receiving flowers, and I don?t mind my husband buying from the nursery to save cost.

You also need to consider that quite often expenditure runs a little higher than anticipated as last-minute changes or additional expenses can occur.

If other people offer help in any way provided it doesn’t encroach on your wedding plans it is well worth accepting this help to reduce any financial or other stress before the day. This can be quite tricky, because you may have different expectations. My friend, who almost turned into Bridezilla, was extremely upset because she did not like how the angpow box done by a friend turned out. And yet she did not know how to let the other party know about how she felt.??

You will often find that family and friends are only too willing to help as people like to get involved in other people’s happy occasions.? Once again remember that you are in control and only accept help that will be beneficial to you. You don?t want an embarrassing situation like what Monica and Chandler faced in Friends when Joey wanted to be the priest and he kept coming up with terrible lines.
